COVID-19 Updates

COVID 19 UPDATE: The entire property is closed for the winter season due to Covid restrictions. We will reopen for the summer season May 1, 2021

Good through October 25, 2020

New York State mandates, High Falls Gorge changes are:

SCHEDULE: We operate on a first come, first served basis five days week: Fridays – Tuesdays (closed Wednesdays and Thursdays). Admission begins at 9 am, we end admission into our Nature Trail at 3:00pm, stop admission into just the waterfall walk at 4 pm and close the property at 4:30 pm.

DELAYS: Delays, if any, may be a matter of a few minutes and occur during 11:00am–2:00pm, our busiest time of the day. The delays may extend longer on holidays. As long as you are on the property before 4:00pm, you will not be denied access. To avoid any delay, please consider scheduling your visiting around our busy time.

CAPACITY: A limited number of people are allowed on the property at any one given time. We count guests both on and off the property and will hold admission if we reach capacity until others have left, then we resume admission.

HOW LONG TO PLAN A VISIT: To walk each trail can take anywhere from 30 - 45 minutes. If you walk both our Nature Trail and Waterfall Walk, plan an hour to an hour and a half. There is no limit on time you spend within the Gorge property, other than our closing time of 4:30pm.

TICKETS: are available online at or on premises when you arrive at our new, outdoor admission counter. There is no difference in cost, it is just for your convenience. Prices are: $13/Adult and $10/Child ages 4-12, plus tax. If you buy your tickets online you will be asked your name at the admission counter, we then verify your party headcount and send you on your way.

POLICIES: Face masks must be worn at all times while on the private property of High Falls Gorge. Due to the tight places within the Gorge, all trails are set to one-way direction flow. You can do the trail loops as many times as you want, just do not impede the traffic flow. No tripods, easels or picnicking allowed on the trail. You must follow the signs, and staff members are on the trail to ensure guests are following the policies.

CHANGES IN OPERATION: The picnic areas are closed—no picnicking or outside food is allowed on property other than individual drinks or water bottles that are carry in, carry out. The River View Cafe is also closed due to the 50% occupancy restrictions making it not profitable to operate. However, snacks, ice cream, and beverages are available in the Gift Shop. Gift Shop and restrooms are open with a capacity limit. Please plan ahead.

Thank you for your understanding of our new operating policies. We are doing our best to accomodate everyone’s safety during this pandemic. We hope you will respect our policies as we do not want to make your visit anything but enjoyable. However, please understand that we will enforce the policies listed above so our business does not get shut down by the state.
